Google Commits $500,000 Funding to Make Pakistan Safer Online
Google has committed $500,000 to support digital citizenship and AI safety programs across Pakistan.
At today’s PKR/$ open market rate of Rs. 280/$, this equals Rs. 140 million.
The funding will be used with local partners to expand programs that help children and adults develop safer online habits and better understand digital risks.

The commitment was announced alongside Google’s Digital Pasban initiative, which aims to reach 200,000 Pakistani households with online safety resources and parental training.
Google said the funding will support evidence-based digital citizenship and AI safety programs designed to give young people and adults practical tools for navigating the digital environment safely.
