SBP Reserves Gain $25 Million
Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves witnessed a small increase during the week ended August 13, 2026.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), its foreign exchange reserves rose by $25 million over the week to $17.081 billion, up from $17.057 billion a week earlier.
The country’s total liquid foreign reserves stood at $22.506 billion as of August 13.
This includes $17.081 billion held by the SBP and $5.424 billion maintained by commercial banks.
Reserves with commercial banks are down by $17.1 million compared to a week earlier.
The current level of reserves roughly offers an import cover of 2.55 months.
