Comedian Chloe Radcliffe is changing the conversation around cheating

Chloe Radcliffe on Say More talking about her solo show 'Cheat'

Chloe Radcliffe is a lot of things: comedian, writer, actor, are only a few of the many words that might be used to describe her. So like most up-and-coming comedians, she is hard to define. One word she has used, especially in her hit solo show, is “cheater.”

To get a better idea of who Radcliffe actually is, Mashable’s Executive Producer Mark Stetson sits down with the multi-hyphenate to talk about her comedy process, her famous stand-up bits, Cheat, her “solo show about how I have a history of cheating in most of my relationships.” In her raw and honest show, she explores the decisions and patterns in her life and the way we as a society handle infidelity and the people who cheat.

“I don’t think the way we talk about cheating helps us cheat less,” she says in the interview above. “We have more sympathy for serial killers than we do for cheaters.”

In the latest episode of Mashable’s Say More, Chloe also breaks down how she crafts and hones a joke over time, the nuance behind discussing sensitive topics like infidelity through comedy, and hosting her web series In Tandem with Chloe Radcliffe. She also shares hilarious behind-the-scenes stories from the Bradley Cooper-directed Is This Thing On?, including what it was like doing magic for a group of unbelievably mean 11-year-olds!

So, Chloe Radcliffe is a lot of things: hilarious, an avid cyclist, and yes, cheater. But when it comes to cheating, she might be changing the narrative.

Radcliffe is performing her solo show, Cheat, at Joe’s Pub in NYC on Aug. 19 and 20.
