Govt Receives Rs. 52 Billion from Hajj 2027 Applicants

Around 84,000 intending pilgrims have deposited the first installment of their Hajj 2027 expenses through the government’s digital Hajj portal, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The ministry spokesperson said Rs. 52.5 billion has so far been received through three payment methods introduced on the Pak Hajj App and Hajj Portal.

Under the government scheme, all 30,000 seats for the long Hajj package have already been filled, while around 23,500 seats remain available.

The ministry has urged people planning to perform Hajj under the government scheme to complete their personal information and payments through the Hajj Portal as soon as possible.

Officials said bookings for the 40-day Hajj package will be closed once the required number of pilgrims is reached.

The ministry has been using the digital Hajj platform to streamline registration, payments and other arrangements for pilgrims. The online system allows intending pilgrims to submit their details and pay their Hajj dues through designated channels.

The latest figures indicate strong demand for the government Hajj scheme, with thousands of applicants having already completed the first payment stage.
