Rockstar Games has released Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, giving fans their most detailed official look yet at GTA 6.
The roughly 27-minute presentation premiered first on Netflix before becoming available worldwide for free on Rockstar’s YouTube channel and official GTA 6 website. Rockstar says the footage was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5.

What Rockstar Revealed
The presentation focuses heavily on protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos as they navigate Vice City and the wider state of Leonida.
It shows shootouts, police chases, driving, and quieter moments between the two characters, while offering a much closer look at Rockstar’s new open world. Activities shown include basketball, scuba diving, and other recreational activities.
Rockstar also shows busy beaches, highways, nightclubs, shops and different parts of Leonida, with significantly more NPC activity and environmental detail than GTA V.
The relationship between Jason and Lucia remains central to the story. Rockstar describes the pair as becoming caught in a criminal conspiracy after an easy score goes wrong, forcing them to depend on each other to survive.
The Extended Look also provides glimpses of improved shooting, vehicle sequences and police encounters while showing the visual quality players can expect from the PS5 version.
Rockstar has still not provided a detailed look at the next version of GTA Online, with this presentation focused primarily on GTA 6’s story, characters, and open world.
Grand Theft Auto VI launches November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC release date has not been announced.
