University of Sindh Distributes Record Rs. 525 Million Scholarships Among Students

The University of Sindh, Jamshoro, has distributed scholarships worth Rs. 525.77 million among 1,074 students in a record scholarship distribution ceremony.

The scholarship cheques were distributed at the main auditorium of the Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Convention Centre.

Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, HEC Sindh Chairman Dr S.M. Tariq Rafi, and University of Sindh Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Fateh Muhammad Marri presented the cheques to students.

The scholarships were collected from different government departments and provided to students to support their higher education.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah stressed the importance of career counselling for students before university admission.

He said many students choose academic fields based on family expectations instead of their own interests and abilities.

The minister said proper career guidance can help universities admit students according to their skills and interests, which can contribute to producing a more capable workforce.
