The process of new appointments is currently underway at Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital in Lahore, according to the 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Punjab Finance Department has directed the hospital management to complete all legal requirements before proceeding further.
It said no new appointment can be made without approval from the finance and administrative sectors.
According to the department, only those appointments will be considered legal that are made with approval from the Punjab government’s Finance Department.
The salary package must also be approved by the Selection Board headed by the Punjab Chief Secretary.
The department said all expenses for the new appointments will be covered from the allocated budget.
It is worth noting that the Board of Governors of Nawaz Sharif Cancer Care Hospital had approved 211 new vacancies, while 260 other vacancies were also approved.
Documents show that the process for appointing additional clinical and non-clinical staff is currently underway.
