The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) will keep passport delivery counters across Pakistan open every Saturday for two months to help citizens collect their ready passports.
The counters will operate from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday, allowing applicants to collect their passports outside regular office hours.
The DG Immigration and Passports has advised citizens to collect their ready passports without delay. The department has particularly encouraged applicants who cannot visit passport offices during normal working hours to use the Saturday facility.
The DG also urged applicants to collect their passports within the prescribed period. Under government policy, authorities will dispose of passports that remain uncollected for more than six months.
The Saturday service will provide applicants with an additional opportunity to collect their passports and avoid delays in receiving their documents.
