The Murree district administration has issued a safety advisory for tourists and residents amid the prevailing weather conditions.
The administration has urged people to avoid unnecessary travel during rain, drive at reduced speeds and exercise caution on slippery roads. It also advised the public to stay away from rivers and storm drains and avoid entering fast-flowing water.
Tourists and residents have been asked to avoid approaching weak or bent trees or parking vehicles near them and to limit their stay near areas vulnerable to landslides. They should immediately contact Rescue 1122 in case of an emergency.
The administration said its emergency resources, along with Rescue 1122 Murree teams, remain deployed in the field.
The Meteorological Department has forecast rain and warned of possible landslides in mountainous areas. On the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner Murree, all relevant departments remain active in the field.
