Legos magical Back to Hogwarts event is live: Shoppers can score steep discounts and free gifts all weekend
Lego’s Back to Hogwarts event is live until Sept. 6, and while we mere muggles may not be boarding the Hogwarts Express this year, Lego has plenty of treats in store for fans looking to celebrate. For Lego Insiders, this includes excellent offers such as double points and deals on select Wizarding World builds.
The Diagon Alley Wizarding Shops build is $30 off for Insiders right now. However, keep in mind it is on backorder at the moment, so there will be a bit of a delay before you can get your hands on it.
Outside of discounts, there’s also the new and exclusive The Ministry of Magic Collectors’ Edition set to check out. This massive build (3,491 pieces, to be exact) is priced at $449.99 and available to buy now.
Which leads me to our favorite part of this event: the free gifts with purchase. There are three available during Back to Hogwarts celebrations: Lego Ministry Munchies & The Daily Prophet Stands, Lego Dumbledore’s Office with Harry Potter, and a Ministry of Magic Phone Booth Display Model.

Lego Ministry Munchies & The Daily Prophet Stands
This delightful Ministry Munchies & The Daily Prophet Stands set comes with 152 pieces and, as its name suggests, features Ministry Munchies and The Daily Prophet stands alongside the Fountain of Magical Brethren. There’s even a couple of minifigures to complete the scene: Cornelius Fudge and a newspaper vendor.
To snag it as a gift with purchase, you’ll need to spend at least $130 on Harry Potter merchandise. The Back to Hogwarts event page also notes that it’s valid for orders placed online at the Lego Store, in person at Lego stores, and by telephone through the Lego catalog.
Lego Dumbledore’s Office with Harry Potter
This little Lego set of Dumbledore’s Office with Harry Potter comes with 42 pieces. These create a Harry Potter minifigure in Dumbledore’s office alongside young Fawkes, the Sorting Hat, Pensieve, and the Sword of Gryffindor.

Ministry of Magic Phone Booth Display Model
This Ministry of Magic Phone Booth isn’t a Lego set; it’s a metal display model. This gift with purchase only applies to Lego Insiders, who will receive it when purchasing The Ministry of Magic Collectors’ Edition set mentioned above.
