The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has proposed a 20% increase in toll rates for Swat Expressway Phase I, subject to approval by the provincial cabinet.
The proposal was included in the agenda of the 57th meeting of the KP Cabinet, which was scheduled to consider the revised toll rates. However, the cabinet meeting scheduled for August 21 was postponed.
If approved, the toll for Swat Expressway Phase I will increase from Rs. 270 to Rs. 324.
The proposed increase forms part of the government’s revision of toll rates for the expressway and will take effect only after approval by the provincial cabinet.
