Govt to Negotiate Fair Settlement for Redeveloping PIA Hotel in New York
The federal government has decided to form a committee to negotiate a settlement with the union as it moves forward with the redevelopment of the Roosevelt Hotel.
The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, approved the proposal on Monday.
The committee will work with the relevant stakeholders to negotiate a settlement that can enable the redevelopment of the hotel.
The Roosevelt Hotel in New York is owned by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and has been at the center of the government’s plans to unlock value from the property.
