Jamaat-e-Islami Launches Education Card Program

The Jamaat-e-Islami-led Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town administration has launched an education card program for more than 600 students of six public schools, providing uniforms, school bags, stationery and other educational supplies.
The launch followed a similar initiative in Gulberg Town, as the JI said it plans to expand the program to 50,000 students across its nine town administrations.
Speaking at the launch of the Education Card 2026 program, JI Karachi chief Monem Zafar said education is central to the party’s vision for development and reconstruction.
He said educating children and safeguarding their future is the party’s vision, and added that the journey of development and reconstruction will move forward through education.
Monem Zafar congratulated the town chairman, his team and the education department, saying the restoration and improvement of public schools had been a key priority since the JI gained representation in the town administrations.
He claimed enrolment in government schools in Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town had risen significantly over the past three years.
The JI leader also criticized successive governments for neglecting education and said public schools still lack basic facilities.
