The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICT Administration) will organize a major Independence Day celebration at the Old Parade Ground on August 14.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. and will offer free entry to the public. Organizers have invited families and friends to attend the celebrations. The event will feature live music by Nimra Mehra, Sahir Ali Bagga and Khumariyan Band.
The entertainment lineup will also include performances by Islamabad Police squads, the Jhang Dance Group, dhol performers, pipe and percussion bands, and a camel band.
Families will have access to several attractions, including children mascots, Rafi Peer mascots, a vintage cars fleet and a vintage bikes squad. The organizers will also hold a fireworks show as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
The event carries the theme “A Celebration of Unity in Diversity” and will provide a range of musical performances, cultural activities and family entertainment. The CDA and ICT Administration have encouraged residents to bring their families and friends and join the Independence Day celebrations at the Old Parade Ground.
