Honor 600S 5G Packs a Massive Battery, Full Waterproofing, and AI Video Editing
Honor has quietly introduced the Honor 600S 5G, a new mid-range smartphone featuring a large battery, durable build, and several AI-powered features.
The phone is heading to Hong Kong and Taiwan. There is no word on an international launch as of yet.
Design and Display
The Honor 600S 5G features a 6.87-inch TFT LCD with a resolution of 1592 × 720 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,020 nits of peak brightness.
The display supports DC dimming, dynamic dimming, low blue light mode, and dark mode.
Honor offers the phone in Desert Gold, Misty Purple, and Velvet Black.
Durability is another major feature. The device carries IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings and has certification for resistance to drops from heights of up to 2.5 metres.
The phone measures 168.3 × 78.54 × 8.30mm and weighs 216.5 grams.
Internals and Software
The Honor 600S 5G runs on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset and boots MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.
Memory configurations vary by market. The Hong Kong version comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, while Honor’s RAM Turbo technology provides additional virtual memory.
The phone also includes a dedicated AI key that provides quick access to features such as AI Memory, Circle to Search, AI image removal, and AI summaries.
Honor’s AI Image-to-Video 2.0 can generate and edit short videos through conversational commands.
Other features include NFC, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and stereo speakers with a claimed 400% high-volume mode.
Cameras
The Honor 600S 5G features a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture.
A 5MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Both cameras support video recording at up to 1080p.
Battery and Pricing
The phone packs a massive 8,100mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging.
Honor says the battery can retain more than 80% of its original capacity after five years under its laboratory testing conditions.
The Honor 600S 5G costs around $255 for the 6GB + 128GB version.
