Vivo V80 Could Be The Biggest V-Series Upgrade Yet

Vivo is preparing to launch the Vivo V80, with reports pointing to major upgrades in cameras, battery capacity, and software over the V70 series.

The phone is expected to debut in India in the first week of October, while Vivo has not yet announced an official global launch date for the standard V80. The company has, however, already started expanding the V80 family internationally with the global launch of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G earlier this month.

Since the V series arrives in Pakistan rather quickly, we expect the same from the Vivo V80 as well. The Vivo V80 Lite launched in Pakistan only a few weeks ago.

Battery

One of the biggest upgrades could be a 7,200mAh battery, which would make it the largest battery used in a standard Vivo V-Series phone if the leak proves accurate.

It is expected to provide up to two days of usage, depending on how the device is used.

Cameras

The Vivo V80 is expected to introduce a new AI Creative Camera with more than 30 AI effects for modifying photos and creating social media content directly on the phone.

Another expected feature is Live Sticker Collage, allowing users to combine images and stickers into custom compositions.

Vivo is also tipped to introduce AI Diwali Portrait 2.0, an upgraded version of its festive portrait features.

The hardware could include a 50MP ZEISS telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 10x zoom in portrait mode.

The phone is also expected to support 4K cinematic video recording.

Software

The Vivo V80 is tipped to launch with OriginOS 7 based on Android 17, bringing Vivo’s latest software experience and AI features to the V-Series.
