Rs26,000 Bill Turns Into Rs70,000 E-Challan Nightmare
A young man who decided to sell his motorcycle to pay a Rs 26,000 electricity bill has found himself facing another major problem.
When he arrived to sell the bike, he discovered that the motorcycle had accumulated 35 e-challans worth a total of Rs 70,000.
Officials said all 35 challans were issued for not wearing a helmet. The violations were recorded through cameras installed at the Suddhar Bypass, according to authorities.
The young man has appealed to officials to waive the Rs70,000 in e-challans, saying he was already forced to sell his motorcycle to pay the electricity bill.
What began as a struggle to clear a Rs26,000 utility bill has now turned into an even bigger financial headache, with the pending e-challans creating a fresh burden.
