The Punjab government has tightened its grip on headmasters to curb fake student enrollments in schools across the province.
According to the School Education Department, schools previously inflated student numbers through fake enrollments, meeting admission targets using forged NADRA forms.
Under the new measures, student B-Form numbers will now undergo NADRA verification. All headmasters and school heads will be required to ensure this verification.
No child will be denied admission for not having a B-Form. If a B-Form is unavailable, the father’s National ID Card number will be recorded instead.
The B-Forms of school-going children will also be verified, and school heads will bear the cost of correcting any erroneous entries.
The registration of B-Form numbers for all students must be completed within 10 days, and school heads will be held responsible for any incorrect entries.
