CDA To Give Senate Housing Society A New Name
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has moved to rename the Senate (Sectt.) Employees Co-operative Housing Society Islamabad in Zone 5 as the “Federal Residents Cooperative Housing Society Islamabad.”
The proposed name change was requested by the society under Clause 31 of S.R.O. 886(1)/2023, which governs the planning and development of private housing, farm housing, apartment, commercial schemes and projects in Zones 2, 4 and 5 of the Islamabad Capital Territory.
According to the CDA’s public notice, the society’s Management Committee and Sponsor have submitted an irrevocable affidavit, undertaking and indemnity bond as required under the applicable regulations.
The management has undertaken that all previous allotments, possession and ownership rights of existing allottees will remain recognized and honored after the proposed name change. It has also committed to protecting the money, interests, rights and claims of allottees and other stakeholders.
The society’s management will remain responsible for any disputes, liabilities, claims, litigation or other matters involving allottees and stakeholders. It has agreed to resolve such matters at its own cost and risk in accordance with applicable laws, with the CDA bearing no responsibility for such disputes or liabilities.
The sponsor and management have also accepted full responsibility for all assets and liabilities of the housing scheme before and after the proposed name change. This includes outstanding dues, fees, charges, penalties and other obligations payable to the CDA, allottees, stakeholders, companies, organizations or any other persons or entities under the society’s previous name.
The CDA has invited objections or claims from any person, company, department or organization regarding the proposed name change. Written objections must be submitted to the Director General (Spatial Planning) or Director, Housing Societies, Planning Wing, CDA, through registered post within 15 days of publication of the public notice.
The objections must include a copy of the CNIC along with original or duly attested supporting documents. The CDA said objections submitted after the stipulated period or without the required documents will not be entertained.
