Acer has launched a new Go Air lightweight laptop in China, combining Intel’s latest Wildcat Lake processor with a 120Hz screen, long battery life, and a thin all-metal body.
The new model weighs just 1.19KG and measures 12.99mm thick, putting it firmly in the ultraportable category.
Design and Display
The Acer Go Air uses a CNC-machined all-metal chassis with a 180-degree hinge, allowing the screen to fold completely flat.
It features a 14-inch IPS display with a 1,920 × 1,200 resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 120Hz refresh rate. Acer also lists 350 nits of brightness and DC dimming to reduce screen flicker.
The laptop comes in four colors: Chill Green, Soul Blue, Crush Pink, and Dream Purple.
A Full HD webcam with facial recognition is included for video calls and Windows login.
Intel’s New 18A Processor
The Go Air is powered by Intel’s new Core 5 320, part of the Wildcat Lake family manufactured using Intel’s 18A process.
The processor uses six CPU cores, including two performance cores and four efficiency cores, with clock speeds reaching up to 4.6GHz. It also includes integrated graphics and an NPU capable of up to 16 TOPS of AI performance.
Acer pairs the chip with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 512GB SSD.
Ports and Multimedia
Despite its slim design, the laptop includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports and one USB-A port, providing more flexibility for external displays, storage, and other accessories.
Acer has also equipped the Go Air with a four-speaker system, along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
The keyboard is backlit, while dedicated shortcuts allow users to switch between different performance modes depending on whether they prioritize lower noise, balanced performance, or maximum speed.
19-Hour Battery Life
The Go Air packs a relatively large 70Wh battery, with Acer claiming up to 19 hours of runtime on a single charge. Actual battery life will depend on workload, brightness, and other settings.
It supports 100W USB-C charging and can reportedly reach 50% battery in around 30 minutes.
Price and Availability
The Acer Go Air with Core 5 320, 12GB RAM, and 512GB storage is priced at roughly $815 in China.
Acer has not announced international availability for this exact configuration. However, reports note that it closely matches the internationally launched Swift Air 14 SFA14-I31, which uses the same basic hardware configuration.
