Islamabad IT Park to be Operated and Managed by Third Party Company

The Islamabad IT Park has entered its final stage and is expected to become operational within the next 30 days, as more than 90 percent of its construction work has been completed, according to sources in the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication.

A third-party company will manage the day-to-day operations of the IT Park, including facility management, security, office-space utilization, commercial activities and revenue management. PSEB will oversee the operator’s performance to ensure the effective functioning of the facility.

The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has issued an invitation to select a private-sector operator for the operation, management, maintenance, and commercialization of the IT Park. The move indicates that preparations are underway to make the facility operational after the completion of the remaining construction work.

Spread over approximately 720,269 square feet, the Islamabad IT Park will offer office space for technology companies along with incubation centres, conference and training rooms, an auditorium, a business centre, commercial outlets, parking facilities and other supporting services.

The project is expected to provide modern infrastructure to local and international technology companies, startups and IT professionals. Its operationalization is also expected to support Pakistan’s digital economy, facilitate business expansion and strengthen the country’s technology and software-export ecosystem.
