The University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, will open online registration for the UHS Postgraduate Entrance Test (PGET) 2026 on 23 August 2026.
Candidates must submit their applications by 22 September, while UHS will conduct the test on Sunday, 25 October 2026.
PGET 2026 is mandatory for admission to Level III postgraduate medical and dental programmes in Punjab’s public-sector institutions.
Successful candidates can take part in the Central Induction Policy process for the January 2027 intake.
UHS PGET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold an MBBS or BDS degree from an institution recognised by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC).
They must also complete a one-year house job at a PM&DC-recognised institution and hold valid permanent registration with the council.
Candidates applying for open-merit or disability-quota seats must have a Punjab domicile. Applicants must also be under 40 years of age on the UHS PGET registration deadline.
Foreign candidates need an NOC or study visa from the Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan. They must also provide an NOC from the relevant home department.
UHS PGET 2026 Test Pattern
UHS has divided the postgraduate entrance test into two papers. Each paper carries 100 marks and contains 100 multiple-choice questions.
Paper I will run from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. It will assess basic sciences from the MBBS or BDS curriculum. UHS will conduct separate Paper I examinations for medical and dental graduates.
Paper II will take place from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. It will assess knowledge related to the specialty selected by the applicant.
UHS has set the minimum passing score at the 75th percentile. The university will give the PGET score 75 percent weightage when calculating admission merit.
How to Apply for UHS PGET 2026
Eligible candidates can apply online through the official UHS PGET registration portal from 23 August.
Applicants must create an account, complete their profile and upload scanned copies of all required original documents.
UHS has set the PGET processing fee at Rs. 10,000. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Candidates must pay it through the system-generated challan using the available online payment method.
Applicants can edit their forms until the closing date. UHS will not allow changes after the application deadline.
