Alongside new laptops, tablets, and a smartphone, Huawei has also introduced its latest smartwatches at a recent launch event in China. The new wearables include the Huawei Watch GT 7 and GT 7 Pro, both of which bring AMOLED displays and long battery life.
Huawei Watch GT 7
The 41mm Watch GT 7 measures 41.3 × 41.3 × 9.99mm, fits wrists measuring 120mm to 180mm, and weighs between 36.5 and 37.5 grams, depending on the strap. Its 1.32-inch AMOLED display offers a 466 × 466 resolution and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness.
Huawei offers the 41mm model in Clear Blue, Joyful White, Cherry Blossom Pink and Moon Shadow Gray.
The 46mm version measures 46 × 46 × 10.95mm, weighs 51.3 grams and fits wrists measuring 140mm to 210mm. It has a larger 1.47-inch AMOLED screen with the same resolution and brightness. Its available colors are Deep Blue, Speedy Yellow, Shadow Black, and Nebula Gray.
Huawei uses stainless steel around the front and a fiber-reinforced composite material on the back.
The 46mm model lasts up to 21 days with light use, 12 days with typical use and 51 hours in trail-running mode. The 41mm version offers up to 14 days of light use, seven days of typical use and 32 hours in running mode.
Huawei says positioning accuracy for skiing and outdoor running has improved by 20%. The watch also provides skiing metrics, route imports, altitude curves, sharp-turn alerts, climbing data and cycling guidance.
Health features include 24-hour HRV monitoring, sleep management, emotional health tracking, women’s health tools, blood sugar research and Family Space.
The standard Huawei Watch GT 7 starts at roughly $235 for the 41mm model and $250 for the 46mm size.
Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro
The Watch GT 7 Pro features a 1.47-inch round AMOLED screen inside an octagonal titanium-alloy case. The display reaches 3,000 nits and uses sapphire crystal protection.
Huawei offers the Pro model with a new fluoroelastomer strap combining black, yellow, and green.
The watch supports 5ATM water resistance and diving to 40 metres. It also includes ECG analysis, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, blood oxygen measurement, pulse-wave arrhythmia detection and more than 100 sports modes.
Battery life reaches 21 days with light use, 12 days with typical use and seven days with the always-on display enabled.
The premium titanium Watch GT 7 Pro costs about $398.
