Punjab to Establish More Eminence and Daanish Schools
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced plans to establish six more Schools of Eminence and two Daanish Schools in Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s constituency.
The announcement came during his visit to the Nawaz Sharif School of Eminence at Nishtar Park, where he inspected the educational facilities, modern infrastructure, laboratories, and other arrangements available for students.
Hayat said the Punjab government was using taxpayers’ money wisely and directing public resources toward providing quality education.
He claimed that the Schools of Eminence have set a new standard for educational infrastructure, prompting private schools to follow the model. According to the minister, no private institution currently offers laboratories and infrastructure comparable to those available at the Schools of Eminence.
Responding to criticism of the initiative, Hayat challenged critics to present an educational project of a similar standard.
The education minister said access to Schools of Eminence was a civil right of every child and that the government was working to provide it through the public education system.
He added that the government aims to improve the quality of education in public schools by providing students with modern infrastructure and better educational facilities.
