All nine educational boards in Punjab have approved a new Digital Result Card System. The system will move examination records and student services online.
Once fully implemented, boards will stop issuing printed result cards. Students will be able to download or print their result cards from home.
Punjab boards will introduce the system in phases. In the first phase, Class 9 and First Year students will receive digital result cards for their annual examination results.
The system will later be extended to Class 10 and Second Year students in the second phase.
How Students Will Download Digital Result Cards
Both regular and private candidates will be able to access their digital result cards online immediately after the announcement of results.
Regular students will access their result cards through the online portals of their respective institutions.
Private candidates will be able to download their result cards directly from the relevant educational board’s portal.
QR Code and Security Features
Each digital result card will include a QR code and other security features to help educational institutions, employers and other organisations verify its authenticity electronically.
The digital result card will carry the same official status as the conventional document.
Where Digital Result Cards Will Be Accepted
Punjab boards have confirmed that they will recognise digital result cards as official government documents.
Moreover, students will be able to use these result cards for college and university admissions, jobs, scholarships, equivalence certificates, verification, and other official purposes.
As a result, students will get easier access to their result cards and will no longer need to visit board offices or wait for printed copies.
