P@SHA Delegation Opens Nordic Corridor for Pakistan’s IT Industry At Oslo Innovation Week 2026

A delegation of around 30 Pakistani technology leaders, founders, and innovators has taken part in Oslo Innovation Week 2026 in Norway, as the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) looks to open new routes for the country’s IT industry into the Nordic market.

The delegates held several high-level business meetings during the visit and are now following up on partnership leads that came out of them.

The delegation was led by Kheezran Khan, Director of Marketing and Outreach at P@SHA. It met investors, startups, enterprise leaders, and policymakers from Norway’s innovation ecosystem to explore business-to-business partnerships, joint ventures, and cross-border collaboration.

Meetings at the Norwegian Parliament

The four-day event featured more than 100 specialized sessions. P@SHA delegates met counterparts in fast-growing sectors such as artificial intelligence, deep tech, clean tech, health tech, and the blue economy.

One of the main events for the delegation was a bilateral business networking session at the Storting, Norway’s Parliament. There, Pakistani tech leaders met Norwegian business executives and policymakers to discuss long-term digital trade between the two countries.

Delegates presented Pakistan’s capabilities in AI, software engineering, enterprise automation, and sustainable technology, and linked them to the Nordic region’s digital needs.

They also discussed venture partnerships, joint research and development, and talent models that would let European scale-ups grow with Pakistani engineering teams.

Part of P@SHA’s Strategy 2031

P@SHA Chairman Dr. Shoab Ahmed Khan said the visit was a deliberate step under the association’s Strategy 2031. The strategy aims to triple the IT sector’s export contribution to $15 billion by FY2031.

He said this goal depends on reaching new markets with a strategy suited to each region. He noted that Nordic countries lead the world in digital transformation, sustainability, and deep technology, and value quality, trust, and long-term partnerships.

“By connecting our software houses directly with Norwegian enterprises and investors, we are moving beyond hourly outsourcing toward high-value partnerships in AI, fintech and green technology,” Dr. Khan said. He added that the response the delegates received in Oslo reflects the strength of Pakistan’s engineering talent.

P@SHA said the mission supports two of its three strategic objectives, Export Expansion and Ecosystem and Talent.

It also builds on Global Market Access, one of the national foundations of the strategy, which calls for diversifying IT exports beyond traditional markets, building a strong Pakistani technology brand, and tailoring outreach to each region.

Pakistan and Norway have expanded cooperation in other areas this year as well. Earlier, Pakistan signed its first carbon trading agreement with Norway.
