The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (PSX: OGDC) has announced a new oil and gas discovery at the Bobi Oil Field in Sindh worth around 1,000 barrels of oil per day.
The well is also expected to deliver 1.0 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day (MMSCFD), according to the company.
OGDC said it fully owns the Bobi Oil Field and described the discovery as an important development for its exploration activities.
OGDC said data from the earlier Bobi Deep-1 well helped guide the drilling and assessment of Bobi-11.
The company added that the results have improved prospects for additional oil and gas reserves in the area and could support further exploration and development in the region.
The latest discovery comes after OGDC identified significant shale gas potential in Sindh. The company had earlier said initial assessments indicated around 7.5 trillion cubic feet of shale gas resources in the province.
