New Miss Universe Pakistan Revealed

Misbah Arshad has been crowned Miss Universe Pakistan after a closely contested selection process, becoming the fourth Pakistani woman to represent the country at the Miss Universe competition.

The announcement was made during a ceremony in the Philippines, where Miss Universe Pakistan franchise owner Josh Yugen presented Arshad with her sash. Her predecessor, Roma Riaz, placed the crown on her head.

Arshad’s response to the final question helped secure her victory. Philippine musician and actor Bailey May asked which version of herself would ask the tougher question if she were placed in a room with her 10-year-old and 80-year-old selves.

She said her 10-year-old self would ask the more difficult question because she would want to know how life turned out. Arshad said she would tell her younger self that she had failed at several points but continued to rise.

A psychology student, Arshad has previous international pageant experience. She represented Pakistan at Miss International 2023 in Japan and Miss Supranational 2024 in Poland.

She will now represent Pakistan at the 75th Miss Universe competition in Puerto Rico.

Following her win, Arshad said failure does not determine whether someone is a winner, adding that continuing to hope, work hard and improve is what matters.

For her coronation, she wore a white gown featuring a crystal-covered bodice designed by Vietnamese designer Nguyễn Tiến Truyển. She said the white represented hope, while the royal blue crystals symbolized education and knowledge gained through continuous learning.
