Punjab’s Green Electric Bus Service has been suspended on several routes in Mianwali after a power failure at the bus charging terminal left the electric buses without charging facilities.
According to sources, the electricity system at the charging terminal stopped working, preventing the buses from being charged. As a result, Green Bus Service operations on various routes have been suspended.
The suspension has caused difficulties for commuters waiting at different bus terminals, with passengers forced to look for alternative means of transportation.
The disruption has also benefited private public transport operators, as commuters are now relying on other buses and vehicles to reach their destinations.
Citizens have urged the authorities to restore the electricity supply at the charging terminal as soon as possible and resume the Green Electric Bus Service.
They said the service has provided an important and affordable transport option for residents, and its prolonged suspension could further increase difficulties for daily commuters.
