Lahore Zoo has added 29 animals from five species to its collection, increasing the total number of species from 112 to 116 and taking the overall number of animals, birds, and reptiles from 726 to 755.

Lahore Zoo Director Dr. Ghulam Rasool said the additions would improve species diversity and offer visitors a better recreational and educational experience.
He added that arrangements were being made for the animals’ food, healthcare, and overall welfare to ensure they receive proper care.
The zoo remains a popular recreational destination for families and children, attracting visitors throughout the year with its collection of animals and birds. The latest additions are expected to further increase public interest.
Visitors also welcomed the expansion, saying the new animals would give children more opportunities to observe and learn about wildlife.
