Virtual classes have been formally launched for the first time in Khyber district under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s Good Governance Roadmap.
According to the district administration, the digital education initiative was inaugurated at Sahibzada Abdul Qayum Khan School under official supervision.
The move marks a major step toward providing modern learning opportunities to students in the tribal districts.
Through the Global Virtual School Hub in Peshawar, students in Khyber will now be able to attend online classes taught by qualified teachers from across the province.
They will also have access to modern curricula and digital learning resources.
Officials said the newly established classrooms have been equipped with artificial intelligence-based teaching systems and modern technology to improve the quality of education.
They said the initiative will help provide students in the merged districts with learning opportunities similar to those available in major cities.
The district administration said the project reflects the provincial government’s commitment to ensuring access to quality education for every child in the merged districts.
Officials said the launch of virtual classes is an important milestone in bringing students in Khyber district into the modern digital education system and opening new academic and professional opportunities for them.
