Honor to Launch Yet Another Phone With The Biggest Battery Ever

Honor is preparing to launch its Magic9 series on September 28, and a new leak suggests the lineup could include three models: the Magic9, Magic9 Pro Max, and a new Magic9 Super Edition.

The Honor Magic9 Super Edition is expected to have a ginormous 11,000 mAh battery, which would make it the biggest battery mainstream phone alongside the Honor X80 Pro Max.

Honor has already revealed the design of the upcoming series, but has not officially confirmed most of its specifications.

According to a tipster on Weibo, all three models will use the same general rear camera design shown in Honor’s official renders.

Magic9 Super Edition

The most unusual model could be the Magic9 Super Edition, which is tipped to feature a 6.8-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate.

The phone is said to use a 200MP main camera, accompanied by 12MP and 50MP sensors. Unlike some other Magic9 models, however, the camera system reportedly will not carry ARRI branding.

Its biggest feature could be an enormous 11,000mAh battery.

The phone is also tipped to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, along with a built-in cooling fan and fiberglass body.

A single front-facing camera is also expected.

Honor Magic9

The standard Honor Magic9 is reportedly getting a smaller 6.37-inch display and an 8,000mAh battery.

It is said to feature two 200MP rear cameras, with the camera system reportedly developed in partnership with ARRI.

The phone is also tipped to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

On the front, Honor is reportedly using a single 3D camera system for selfies and facial recognition.

Magic9 Pro Max

The Magic9 Pro Max is expected to sit at the top of the conventional lineup.

According to the leak, it will feature a 6.8-inch display, a metal body, and an 8,800mAh battery.

The phone is also said to offer dual 200MP rear cameras.

At the front, it could use a 1:1 camera sensor alongside a 3D ToF sensor.

The biggest performance upgrade could come from the chipset, with the Pro Max reportedly using the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme rather than the Gen 5 chip tipped for the other two models.

Launch on September 28

Honor has confirmed that the Magic9 series will launch on September 28.

Customers in China can already place reservations through Honor’s official online store.

The specifications above remain unofficial for now and should be treated as leaks until Honor confirms the full hardware details at launch.
