Balochistan Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail attended the Youth and AI Summit 2026 at the United Nations headquarters in New York this week, representing Pakistan in place of the IT Minister.
The summit was organized by the International Organization of Youth in partnership with the Permanent Missions of the Bahamas and Dominica.
Mandokhail was received at the UN headquarters by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, along with officials of the Pakistan Mission.
The Youth and AI Summit 2026 brings together discussions around young people and the growing role of artificial intelligence, with Pakistan participating through its Balochistan governor.
Although tech-related and completely different from Mandokhail’s field of expertise, Federal Minister for IT & Telecom Shaza Fatima Khawaja didn’t attend the event.
