The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced traffic restrictions and diversions in the capital in connection with Independence Day celebrations.
The ITP said heavy traffic will remain barred from entering Islamabad from midnight on August 12 until midnight on August 14.
The traffic police will also introduce diversions on several roads around Yadgar-e-Fateh in H-8 during the Independence Day celebrations.
The ITP advised citizens to use alternative routes during the restricted period to avoid traffic congestion and delays.
The traffic police has also asked citizens to follow the designated alternative routes and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed across the city. Citizens can get further traffic updates through ITP FM 92.4 and the Islamabad Traffic Police’s official social media pages.
