Govt Announces Rs. 5 Million Compensation for Each Family Affected by PIMS Fire
The government has announced financial compensation of Rs5 million for the families of each newborn who died in the PIMS Hospital fire incident.
According to the announcement, the federal government stands with the affected families in their grief and sorrow. It said no amount of financial compensation can replace precious human lives.
The statement added that the deceased children cannot be brought back, but the assistance is meant to ease the hardships of the grieving families and offer some relief.
The government said it will extend every possible support and assistance to the affected families.
It may be recalled that 14 newborn babies lost their lives in a fire that broke out in the nursery of PIMS Hospital yesterday.
