Google is expanding Gemini’s student-focused tools, giving students in Pakistan access to AI features designed to help with studying, coursework, exam preparation, and career planning.
The Gemini for Students page is available in Pakistan, while Google’s new study notebooks are rolling out to personal accounts globally. However, Pakistani students are not currently eligible for Google’s new one-year free premium AI student offer, though it will likely become available soon.
Gemini Gets Dedicated Tools for Students
Gemini can help students understand difficult topics through step-by-step explanations based on their study materials.
Students can upload lecture notes, slides, syllabi, reading materials, and other documents. Gemini can then use this material to create personalized study resources.
Google’s study notebooks provide a dedicated space for this process. Students can take an initial diagnostic quiz that identifies areas where they need more practice.
Gemini then creates smaller, personalized lessons based on those results. As students complete more quizzes and upload additional material, the lessons can automatically adjust to their progress.
Study notebooks also work with NotebookLM, allowing students to use their material to create flashcards, infographics, and other learning resources.
Useful for Exams, Assignments and Research
Students can use Gemini to turn their notes and course material into study guides and practice quizzes.
The AI can also explain difficult concepts, answer questions based on uploaded material, and provide help with writing, brainstorming, outlining, and proofreading.
Students can use Gemini’s research features to find and organize information, while Google Search can provide supporting sources and citations.
Gemini can also help students prepare presentations and improve written assignments.
Career Tools for Pakistani Students
Google is also positioning Gemini as a tool for students preparing to enter the job market.
Students can use Gemini to review and improve their CVs, generate practice interview questions based on job descriptions, and explore possible careers based on their skills and experience.
Gemini also includes image tools that can be used to create or edit professional images and headshots.
