Former Premier League Star Reportedly Set to Join Pakistan Football Team

Former Newcastle United and Sunderland defender Titus Bramble is reportedly set to join the Pakistan men’s national football team as an assistant coach.

Bramble brings extensive Premier League experience to the Pakistan setup, having made more than 290 appearances in England’s top flight during his playing career.

His expected arrival would add significant defensive experience to head coach Nolberto Solano’s coaching staff. Bramble is expected to focus on defensive organization, low-block structures and transition defending as Pakistan prepares for its upcoming international fixtures.

The potential appointment would also mark a reunion with Newcastle United connections in Pakistan, with Bramble having visited Lahore and Islamabad in 2025 as part of efforts to support youth football development.

Bramble began his professional career with Ipswich Town before moving to Newcastle United in 2002. He later represented Charlton Athletic, Wigan Athletic and Sunderland during a playing career that included extensive experience in the Premier League.

For Pakistan, the reported appointment could provide valuable top-level defensive expertise as the Shaheens look to strengthen their backline and improve their performances on the international stage.
