Punjab to Introduce AI in Primary Education
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that a good teacher can lay the foundation for positive change in society.
In a special message on World Teachers’ Day, she offered prayers and salutations for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and paid tribute to teachers across the country.
She said she salutes all teachers, including her own respected teachers, and appreciates the sincerity, hard work and dedication of millions of teachers in Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz said the status of a teacher is timeless and that her respect and regard for her teachers remain strong.
She said teachers are the most respected segment of society and play a vital role in guiding students from one level of achievement to another.
A good teacher, she added, not only imparts knowledge but also teaches manners, moral values and social traditions.
The chief minister said a good teacher can lay the foundation for positive change in society.
She said the Punjab government is introducing programmes such as the Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence across the province to promote quality education.
She added that AI is being introduced in primary education to familiarise students with modern knowledge and skills.
Maryam Nawaz said teachers are also being provided free training to introduce them to English conversation, information technology and other modern teaching methods.
