Punjab has decided to conduct physical verification of students in all private schools across the province, with school licenses to be revoked if fake enrolment is proven.
Physical verification of students will be carried out in licensed schools across Punjab’s 41 districts. The verification process for all schools across the province has been ordered to be completed by November 20.
District focal persons and Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) have been assigned responsibilities, under which AEOs will personally conduct physical verification of their assigned schools.
Licensed schools will have to be informed at least one day before the visit.
