Punjab Boards Introduce New Marks Improvement Rules
The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen has approved a key amendment to the marks improvement policy, introducing new rules for students who miss one or more papers during examinations.
Under the revised policy, boards will use a student’s previous result for any subject in which the student remains absent during the Part-I, Part-II or composite examination. Officials will transfer the previous marks to the absent paper for result compilation.
The new rules also cover candidates who remain absent from a marks improvement examination. In such cases, the board will declare the candidate’s result as “Marks Improved.”
Board officials said the amendment aims to facilitate students and simplify the rules for marks improvement examinations.
