These BS-18 vacancies are part of PPSC Advertisement No. 11/2026 and fall under the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department. Applications will remain open until October 26, 2026.
Selected candidates will work on a three-year contract, which may be extended based on good performance.

53 Senior Registrar Medicine Jobs
Medicine has the highest number of vacancies, with 53 posts available. Candidates need an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institution recognized by the relevant medical regulator.
Applicants must also hold a postgraduate qualification such as FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, Diplomat of the American Board, or another recognized equivalent in the relevant specialty.
If candidates with the preferred specialist qualification are not available, PPSC may consider applicants with a relevant postgraduate qualification in General Medicine or Surgery along with three years of post-graduation practical experience in the required specialty.
41 Senior Registrar Surgery Vacancies
Punjab has also announced 41 Senior Registrar Surgery jobs. Eligibility requirements are similar to those for Medicine. Applicants need MBBS or an equivalent recognized qualification along with the required postgraduate specialization.
Accepted qualifications include FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, Diplomat of the American Board, or another recognized equivalent in the relevant field.
Where candidates with the preferred specialist qualification are unavailable, doctors with an appropriate postgraduate qualification and three years of relevant post-graduation experience may also be considered.
Among the 41 posts, 34 are available on open merit. Separate seats have also been reserved under the special person, minority, and women quotas.
Senior Registrar Cardiac Anaesthesia Jobs
PPSC has advertised seven posts in Cardiac Anaesthesia. Applicants need an MBBS or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
They must also have a postgraduate qualification such as FCPS in Cardiac Anaesthesia, Diplomat of the American Board in Cardiac Anaesthesia, FRCA with relevant cardiac anaesthesia training, or an equivalent qualification.
If suitable candidates with these qualifications are not available, doctors with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Anaesthesia may qualify with one year of practical experience in Cardiac Anaesthesia.
Paediatric Ophthalmology Jobs
Three vacancies are available for Senior Registrar Paediatric Ophthalmology. Candidates must have an MBBS or equivalent qualification and appropriate medical registration.
PPSC will accept qualifications such as FCPS, MS, FRCS, or Diplomat of the American Board in Paediatric Ophthalmology, or another recognized equivalent.
Doctors with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology can also qualify if they have one year of post-graduation experience in Paediatric Ophthalmology from a recognized institution.
Paediatric Cardiology Vacancies
Another three Senior Registrar posts are available in Paediatric Cardiology. Applicants need MBBS or an equivalent medical qualification, valid professional registration, and a postgraduate qualification in Paediatric Cardiology.
Accepted qualifications include FCPS, MD, CCT, Diplomat of the American Board, or another recognized equivalent in Paediatric Cardiology.
If candidates with these qualifications are unavailable, doctors with postgraduate qualifications in Paediatrics may also qualify if they have the required experience in Paediatric Cardiology.
One vacancy is on open merit, one is reserved for a person with a disability, and one is reserved for women.
Age Limit for Senior Registrar Jobs
Male candidates have a basic age range of 25 to 45 years. With five years of general age relaxation, the maximum age becomes 50 years.
Female applicants also have a basic limit of 25 to 45 years. Eight years of relaxation takes their maximum age to 53 years.
For transgender applicants, PPSC will determine age and gender according to the information recorded on their CNIC.
Medical Registration and Experience Rules
Candidates must meet the professional registration requirements mentioned in the advertisement.
Where registration has expired, applicants should have applied for renewal on or before the closing date and provide the required proof when asked.
PPSC will generally consider practical experience gained after the prescribed qualification. Experience certificates must also meet the conditions listed in the advertisement.
