Peshawar Public Library Gets New Opening Hours
Peshawar Public Library will now remain open until midnight to provide students and other citizens with more time for reading and studying.
The decision was made on the directives of Education Advisory Council member Dr. Syed Aamir Abdullah, with the library set to operate in three shifts under the new arrangement.
The extended hours will initially be introduced as a pilot project at Peshawar Public Library. Based on its implementation, the arrangement may be expanded to other public libraries across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which currently has 16 public libraries.
The move aims to improve access to reading and study facilities, particularly for students preparing for examinations and those who need a quiet place for independent study beyond regular daytime hours.
The Director of Archives and Libraries, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has issued an official notification regarding the revised timings and directed relevant officers and staff to ensure strict compliance with the instructions.
