Babusar Top road has reopened to all types of traffic after remaining closed for three days due to heavy snowfall.
According to police, authorities had closed the road from the Gilgit side following heavy snowfall. Officials have now restored traffic from both Gilgit and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, easing travel for tourists and other commuters.
The closure had caused difficulties for people traveling to and from Gilgit via Mansehra. Three oil tankers had also remained stranded at Babusar Top for three days. Police have now recovered the tankers and allowed them to continue their journey.
