PC Hotel Owners Confirm Restructuring Talks
Pakistan Services Limited (PSX: PSEL), the operator of the Pearl Continental hotel chain, has confirmed that a proposed restructuring of the company is being negotiated to resolve a legal dispute pending before the Islamabad High Court.
In a material information notice issued to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday, the company referred to a public disclosure by Thatta Cement Company Limited on September 10 regarding the proposed restructuring.
Pakistan Services said the restructuring was being negotiated to amicably resolve the matter pending before the Islamabad High Court in Companies Original No. 17 of 2025.
The company added that the proposed restructuring would be finalized through definitive agreements. Details would subsequently be communicated to the Pakistan Stock Exchange and other relevant authorities.
Pakistan Services said any further development requiring disclosure under applicable laws and regulations would be communicated to the exchange and made available in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
The proposed restructuring follows a prolonged ownership dispute involving Pakistan Services Limited, which owns and operates the Pearl-Continental hotel chain.
In September, media reports said five PC properties could be divided between Thatta Cement and Fauji Foundation under a proposed out-of-court settlement linked to a dispute over roughly 56 percent of the company’s voting shares.
