OnePlus Unveils Buds Pro 4 With AI Features and Twice the Noise Cancellation

OnePlus has quietly revealed its new Buds Pro 4 wireless earbuds on its official global website, featuring improved sound quality, stronger noise cancellation, and several AI-powered features.

The earbuds offer up to 53 hours of battery life with the charging case, along with support for AI translation, Google Gemini, and wireless charging.

The company has also confirmed two color options, although it has not announced the official price or release date.

Design and Audio

The OnePlus Buds Pro 4 feature two audio drivers in each earbud, including an 11mm woofer for bass and a 6mm tweeter for higher-pitched sounds.

Each driver has its own digital-to-analog converter (DAC), which helps control sound output.

OnePlus developed the audio system with Danish audio company Dynaudio.

According to the company, the new design delivers 50% stronger bass than the previous Buds Pro 3.

The earbuds also support Hi-Res Audio through LHDC 5.0, allowing compatible devices to play high-quality audio at up to 24-bit/192kHz.

Other audio features include Spatial Audio with head tracking, which adjusts the sound as users move their heads, and Golden Sound, which personalizes audio settings based on the user’s hearing.

The Buds Pro 4 come in Titanium Shadow and Polar White. They also have an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. However, the charging case does not have the same protection.

Noise Cancellation and AI Features

OnePlus claims the Buds Pro 4 can reduce twice as much background noise as the previous generation.

The earbuds feature adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC), which automatically adjusts the level of noise reduction based on the surrounding environment.

Each earbud also has three microphones and a sensor that detects vibrations from the user’s voice. These work together to improve call quality, particularly in noisy places.

The earbuds include AI Live Translation, which can help translate conversations between different languages when used with compatible OnePlus phones.

Users also get access to Google’s Gemini assistant, allowing them to interact with AI using voice commands.

Another feature is Clear Audio Recording, which uses Dolby technology to improve recorded audio.

The earbuds also support Neck Health monitoring, designed to remind users about their posture.

For gaming, OnePlus claims audio delay can be reduced to as little as 39 milliseconds when paired with supported OnePlus smartphones.

Users can also connect the earbuds to two devices simultaneously.

Battery and Charging

Battery life is one of the main highlights of the OnePlus Buds Pro 4.

According to OnePlus, the earbuds can provide up to 13 hours of music playback on their own when noise cancellation is turned off.

With the charging case, total battery life increases to 53 hours.

However, enabling active noise cancellation reduces the combined playback time to 26 hours when using the AAC audio format.

The company also claims that a 10-minute charge can provide up to 14 hours of listening time when using the charging case.

The case supports wireless charging, allowing users to recharge it without connecting a cable.

Price and Availability

OnePlus has listed the Buds Pro 4 on its global website but has not confirmed their official price, launch date, or availability in different markets.

The earbuds will be offered in Titanium Shadow and Polar White.

The Buds Pro 4 also share several features and design elements with the recently introduced Oppo Enco X4, suggesting that the two models may use similar hardware.

The Oppo Enco X4 costs approximately $255 in Europe, although this does not confirm the price of the OnePlus model.

More details about pricing and availability are expected when OnePlus makes its official launch announcement.
