Khyber Medical University (KMU) has announced centralized admissions for private-sector MBBS and BDS programs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the 2026-27 academic session.
The admission process covers 10 private and public dental colleges across the province. Applications will be submitted online, with the admission portal set to open on October 6, 2026.
Candidates can submit their applications until November 9, 2026. KMU has also issued the complete merit formula, eligibility criteria, and admission schedule.
Private Medical Colleges
The centralized admission process includes the following medical colleges:

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate, FSc Pre-Medical, or an equivalent qualification with at least 60% marks.
Candidates must also have passed MDCAT 2024, MDCAT 2025, or MDCAT 2026. A minimum of 55% marks in MDCAT is required for MBBS admission, while BDS applicants need at least 50%.
Students with qualifications from outside Pakistan must meet the relevant equivalence requirements.
Candidates applying against foreign quota seats must also meet the eligibility criteria prescribed under the relevant PM&DC undergraduate admission rules and subsequent notifications.
KMU MBBS and BDS Merit Formula
KMU will calculate the admission aggregate using the following weightage:

How to Apply
KMU has moved the private medical and dental college admission process online. Candidates must complete and submit their application through the university’s centralized admissions portal.
Applicants do not need to send printed copies of their application through post or courier. KMU has stated that it will not accept hard-copy applications.
Candidates should carefully enter their personal and academic information and upload all required documents before submitting the form.
Applicants should keep the original fee slip and present it if KMU asks for it during the admission process.

Important Instructions for Applicants
KMU will not accept incomplete or deficient applications. Candidates must fill in their college preferences in the required order because the university will use these preferences during placement.
Selected candidates will have to deposit the required fee after receiving their admission offer. They must complete the payment within three working days according to KMU’s instructions.
Candidates must also provide genuine academic records and other documents. KMU can cancel admission at any stage if an applicant submits fake, forged, or incorrect documents.
