iQOO has officially launched the Neo12 in China, featuring a built-in cooling fan, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and a massive 9,000mAh battery.
The gaming-focused smartphone also features a 185Hz AMOLED display, a dedicated gaming chip, and support for 100W fast charging.
The iQOO Neo12 is already available in China, with prices starting at approximately $630.
Design and Display
The iQOO Neo12 features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display developed by Visionox, offering a 2K resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate.
The display uses p-TSF technology and reaches up to 2,200 nits of peak brightness.
It also includes a dedicated display chip to handle screen-related processing.
The smartphone comes in three colors: Contender, Frost Blade Blue, and Shadow Black.
Other features include an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner beneath the display, and stereo speakers.
Internals and Software
The iQOO Neo12 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.
One of its main features is an active cooling system with a built-in 59-blade fan.
According to iQOO, the redesigned fan increases airflow by approximately 10%, helping the device manage heat during demanding gaming sessions.
The phone also features a large 3D Ice Dome vapor chamber for additional cooling.
For gaming, iQOO has included its Q3 gaming chip, which supports ray tracing in selected games, 2K resolution upscaling, and frame-rate interpolation for smoother gameplay.
The device also includes an infrared sensor.
Cameras
The iQOO Neo12 features a dual-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide camera.
For selfies and video calls, the smartphone includes a 16MP front-facing camera.

The iQOO Neo12 packs a 9,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging.
The smartphone is available in five RAM and storage configurations in China.
The base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs approximately $630, while the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage version is priced at around $735.
The 16GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs approximately $690, while the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant is priced at around $825.
The highest-end model, featuring 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, costs approximately $945.
The iQOO Neo12 is already available for purchase in China. The company has not announced international availability.
