Daily Show gleefully roasts Marco Rubios online passport application announcement

The White House announced a revamped America.gov recently, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio taking to the stage to dazzle audiences with a new online passport application process.

“Why are you doing this like an Apple product launch?” jokes Daily Show host Jordan Klepper in the clip above. “And one more thing: This passport folds.”

The host goes on to play a clip of Rubio demonstrating how the passport’s eagle gives the illusion of flying as you flip through the pages.

“Holy shit!” says Klepper. “This is going to totally blow the minds of kids in 1928 who haven’t seen Steamboat Willie.”
