CDA Targets Neighborhood Near Imran Khan’s Bani Gala Residence
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued a final show-cause notice to M/s Yar Muhammad Scheme in Bani Gala, Islamabad, over alleged unauthorized development.
CDA has ordered an immediate halt to all unapproved construction, land development, marketing, plot transfers and property allotments in the scheme.
According to the notice, the scheme was developed without the mandatory approval of its Layout Plan (LOP) and No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the CDA, in violation of applicable planning laws and regulations.
The authority said several warnings and public notices issued between 2016 and 2025 were not followed.
The developers have been given seven days to remove illegal structures, stop unauthorized land use and submit a written explanation.
Failure to comply will allow the CDA to begin ex parte proceedings and take enforcement action, including demolition of unauthorized structures and sealing of project offices. The cost of demolition and restoration will be recovered from those responsible.
CDA also cited Supreme Court and Islamabad High Court rulings supporting action against unauthorized developments in Bani Gala.
The notice has been shared with the ICT Administration, Islamabad Police, IESCO, SNGPL, SECP and PID. Utility providers have been directed to withhold connections to unauthorized structures, while relevant authorities have been asked to stop promotional and marketing activities related to the scheme.
