The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has extended summer vacations for educational institutions in the summer zone by another four days.
According to a notification issued by the Secretary of Elementary and Secondary Education, educational institutions across AJK that fall under the summer zone will remain closed from August 10 to August 13, 2026. The extension applies to both public and private educational institutions, according to the Education Department.
Under the revised schedule, schools and other educational institutions will remain closed through August 13, with teaching activities expected to resume after the extended break. The Education Department will issue further instructions regarding the reopening of institutions.
The department has advised parents and students to follow official notifications for updates about the reopening of educational institutions.
The extension applies uniformly to all relevant summer zone educational institutions across AJK, including private institutions.
